Nigerian President Village Hit By Flood, His Helicopter Turns Refugee Camp
the country have been forced by the angry flood
carting away lives and properties to forge a remix
of the track because indeed water is now their
number one enemy.
If the flood was human, it should have known its
boundaries, but as a natural disaster without fear or
favour, it has spread to the homes of political gladiators
in Bayelsa State, including the homestead of
Nigeria's first citizen, President Goodluck
Jonathan.
Reports have it that over 90 percent of Bayelsa
State has been submerged by the raging flood.
All the motorable routes to the President's
hometown have been over taken by flood, thus,
making canoe the only means of transport to and
fro the community while the landing space for
President Jonathan's helicopter has now been
converted to a refugee camp, as the flood has
sacked thousands of people from their homes.
It would be recalled that earlier last week, the
raging flood also paid a visit to the home of his
Excellency, governor, Seriake Dickson.
Assuring the refugees of his assistant and urgent
help, the Governor who spoke to them at the
State's sports complex yesterday asserted that
an emergency disaster committee has been set
up to attack the disastrous situation.

In their own arenas, those four guys were obviously
some of, if not the most influential beings on the
generations living today!
Now, we're not so sure if this means Yeezy just pulled a
Jay-Z and basically pranked us with the whole
retirement thing (ha) or if he's still left the Twitterverse
for a while.
But we are sure of this -- Kanye knows how to keep
everyone paying attention!! And we can only wonder if
he paid attention to Kim Kardashian's ideas for her
next round of nuptials... wink wink!!
Oprah Endorses Rihanna and Chris Brown Reconciliation
for good, the obvious door for an official Rihanna
reconciliation is open.
And everyone's just wondering how long it's gonna take!
But that doesn't mean it's passed the subject of
controversy! OoOoh no!
While both sides of the heated coin bring their
arguments to the table, Oprah Winfrey let her stance
be known on Friday, explaining: interview [where Rih
confessed her love for Breezy] is that she came with a
big, wide open heart. She was in the space of
forgiveness. And that she learned a lesson, that she was
repeating with Chris Brown exactly what she needed to
learn from her father.
I think that if she is prepared to deal with that and is
prepared to help him help himself then so be it. I have
no judgment about it. That's why I can sit there and

Forgiveness is a beautiful thing.

'friends' on the site in July, but as WENN went to press on
Sunday, the Umbrella hitmaker had surpassed his total.
The Bajan beauty boasted 61,617,468 likes, while
Eminem was a close second with 61,269,210.
Shakira is in third place with 54.8 million followers, Lady
Gaga bags fourth place with 53.2 million and late singer
Michael Jackson rounds out the top five celebrities on the
site with 51.9 million fans.
Saucy Website Offers Hulk Hogan Money For Sex Tape.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, moved swiftly to
stop publication of the tape, and instructed his lawyers to
draft a cease and desist letter demanding chiefs of the
website remove the footage.
However, bosses at Sex.com are eager to post the video
on their site, and have approached Hogan about a
potential deal.
In a letter, obtained by TMZ.com, the website's Martin
Ellison writes, "As we have all read and seen a sex tape
was recorded and posted online without your permission.
"While this may be an embarrassing ordeal for you to go
through right now, it doesn't need to be. We are truly
serious about working with you, this isn't some shameless
press opportunity, we have an open checkbook (sic)."

last month, was unaware that giving a tattoo to a person
under 18 years of age was illegal.
Odessa, who sports several pieces of body art, inked her

anything to go by, it seems that there are an awful lot of
leisure activities that women are happy to participate in
place of sex. From eating chocolate, to reading
questionable if intensely popular erotic literature, sleeping
and watching movies, it would appear that sex does not
rate highly in a woman's list of favourite things to do.
Indeed my primitive research, in the form of google
predictive sentences, indicates that you could probably tap
in 'women prefer eating a cactus to sex' and you would get
some positive results. To add to the list, The Project
tweeted about a new study last week claiming that 4% of
women prefer grooming to shagging. Who knew that bikini
waxes were so much fun?
According to sex therapist Amanda Robb, the seemingly
endless interest in surveying women's attitude to sex
comes down to the stereotypes that are still happily
bounced around in our allegedly enlightened, post sealed
section society- i.e. women lie back and think of England,
men are always up for it.
"The myth that men prefer sex more than women will
continually be popularised in the media due to each
genders stereotyped sexual status; women are romantic
and men are just plain horny ... I do think these studies
give the message women are disinterested in sex, but I
think this is portrayed by how the study is represented,"
says Robb.
Gwyneth Paltrow At 40.

Though she was initially apprehensive about leaving her
30s behind, she has quickly embraced entering a more
mature epoch.
"I was really worried about it, leading up to the day, but
now I feel really happy and content with my life," Paltrow

In addition to involving them in sports like soccer and
gymnastics, she encourages them to be sound mentally
too.
"I feel that mental happiness and physical happiness are so
closely related, and especially for kids, because they have
so much energy," she said.
'Hobbit' To Premiere Big Time.
premiere is being planned for the launch of The Hobbit
movie in Wellington next month.
Wellington Mayor Celia Wade-Brown today released more
details of the November 28 premiere of The Hobbit: An
Unexpected Journey.
Courtenay Place, in the central city, will be covered in
more than 500m of red carpet, stretching from Taranaki
St to the Embassy Theatre, which stars of the movie would
walk down.
Hoping for even larger crowds than when tens of
thousands of people crammed into Courtenay Pl for the
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King's 2003 premiere,
Wellington City Council would install big screens in
Waitangi Park with a live feed from the red carpet.
While it was impossible to say if The Hobbit premiere
would attract more people than Return of the King, the big
screens meant there was room for more people, she said.
In the week around the premiere, a Hobbit-inspired artisan
market, featuring work of some of those who worked on
The Hobbit, would be set up in Waitangi Park.
And in the nights leading up to the premiere, the Lord of
the Rings trilogy would screen at Waitangi Park for free.
Wade-Brown and Sir Peter Jackson's spokesman, Matt
Dravitzki, today launched a countdown clock to the
premiere on the facade of the Embassy.
There are 51 days to go.
Wade-Brown also revealed Wellington would become
known as The Middle of Middle-Earth during the premiere
week.
She also unveiled a The Middle of Middle-Earth logo,
designed by Hobbit cartographer and calligrapher Daniel
Reeve.
Wellington Airport, which earlier announced it would have
a Weta Workshop-designed Hobbit piece installed, would
also change its motto from Wild at Heart to The Middle of
Middle-earth for the period around the premiere.
The premiere would get $1.1 million in council funding.
Jackson said he was ''thrilled'' the premiere would be in
Wellington.
''Nowhere else in the world does a premiere quite like
Wellington.''
All About The Blackberry 10
and Angry Birds?
Research In Motion needs to offer more than just clever
new features for its BlackBerry 10 to take off. For
consumers and BYOD (bring your own devices) workers in
particular, much of the new platform's momentum will
hinge on the hardware on which it is offered, as well as the
apps and content that is available when it launches in the
first quarter of next year.
RIM hasn't had much to say about the BlackBerry 10
devices themselves, although it has pledged to continue
offering physical QWERTY keyboards alongside full
touchscreens.
The prototype seeded to BlackBerry 10 developers
provides clues about what one of the devices will look like,
and between the slim proportions, large, high-res screen
and fluid performance, it looks promising.
BlackBerry App World has close to 105,000 apps available,
and it has clocked 3 billion downloads since it first opened
three years ago. The problem is that none of those apps
will be compatible with BlackBerry 10, which means
developers will need to port all of their apps over to the
new platform.
RIM presented a brave face to media and developers at
the BlackBerry Jam developer conference in California late
last month.
Martyn Mallick, vice-president of global alliances and
business development, said there was "a huge swell of
developers supporting BlackBerry 10", and the company
was "literally working with hundreds and hundreds of
partners right now".
Mallick said all of the major global social networks would
have applications available for BlackBerry 10 at launch,
namely Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Foursquare.
Presenters demonstrated working versions of Cisco
WebEx, Foursquare, Facebook and Shadowgun.
But a slide showing the developers for BlackBerry 10 didn't
have hundreds of partners on it. It had 50. The standouts
were Box.net, PressReader, TruPhone, TuneIn and
Accuweather, but there were lots of magazine names
(presumably for the upcoming BlackBerry Newsstand
magazine store) padding out the list.
Mallick assured conference attendees that this wasn't the
complete list. "What you see here is really just the tip of
the iceberg," he said. "This is the list of partners that gave
us permission to talk about what they're doing here at
BlackBerry Jam. But you're going to see a huge number of
additional partners come out between now and launch.
This is really just a fraction of who we are working with."
Other slides displayed during the keynote presentation
showed apps and games that weren't specifically
mentioned by the presenters, such as Adobe Reader, Docs
to Go, Fruit Ninja and NOVA 3.
RIM will also be selling music, TV shows and movies for the
first time in the BlackBerry App world with BlackBerry 10.
This offering places it on a near-even keel with Apple's
ecosystem when it comes to multimedia, and it makes the
platform a strong sell against Android, which only has TV
shows, movies and books, and Windows Phone, which only
offers music.
RIM also made a passing reference to BlackBerry
Newsstand during the presentation. Mallick said it would
have "thousands of magazine titles" available, and one of
the slides showed titles such as Bazaar, Good
Housekeeping, Conde Nast Traveller and Wired.
The apps and content RIM demonstrated at BlackBerry
Jam are a good start, but it needs to persuade more big-
name developers to make the jump to the new platform.
Dan Dodge, QNX founder and RIM's lead software
architect, said this was something the company was
"aggressively fixing".
"One of the lessons that we learnt from the PlayBook is
that we launched before we actually had a big enough
ecosystem of applications behind it," he said. "The goal
was to get it out there. When BB10 launches, there will be
a catalogue of massive numbers of applications."
