Why seven covers? Seven albums!
Via Complex :
We had to come up with something special for Rihanna's return to the 'Plex. And so, to celebrate the release of her seventh album, Unapologetic, which also happens to be her firstalbum to debut at No. 1, we enlisted photographer Zoe McConnell to shoot not just one cover, but seven—one for each of the albums. And assistant editor Soo-Young Kim flew around the world with Rihanna as part of the infamous 777 tour, then sat down with her for a girl-to-girl chat about music, fame, and how to take a perfect selfie. She's never shined brighter.
We would have preferred 69 covers but 7 ain't too shabby. Hit the jump to peep all 7 covers plus some behind the scenes shots from the photo shoot…
The Bajan banger is no stranger to putting her cakes on blast for the cameras, but this most recent pic of a clearly clothes-less Rih-Rih with a "come get it" face is some seriously side-eye worthy isht.
We're all aware that Rih is known to stir the pot on the regular, but is this one pic that just might be exactly what it looks it like? (SN: Peep the "other" hand in the pic…could be her own…but doesn't look like likely..)
Is this a pic of Ms. Barbados and her Breezy boo in action? We'll let you be the judge.
Jermaine Dupri's Atlanta mansion must have 9 lives -- because the music legend just saved the place from foreclosure ... for the SECOND TIME in 4 months.
TMZ broke the story ... Jermaine's house came within inches of the auction block back in September -- after he allegedly failed to make $193,404 in mortgage payments -- but the producer successfully staved off the foreclosure sale, claiming the bill was erroneous.
But after Jermaine again allegedly failed to cough up payments, a new auction date was set for January 2nd.
And once again, Jermaine rescued his home -- filing an emergency motion just days after Christmas, insisting the foreclosure company has continually failed to prove that Jermaine actually owes the money it claims he does.
The company claims he owes roughly $410,000 on the home -- Jermaine insists he only owes $111,845.
The judge sided with Jermaine -- despite the producer admitting in the court docs that he hasn't made a mortgage payment since November 2011 -- and canceled the auction.
A hearing on the debt dispute has not been scheduled yet.
There are many of us out there who are motivated by money than any thing else in life. If money and all the things money can buy you in life is your motivation, a reason why you wake up each morning to continue with the struggles of life, that is perfectly fine.
At least something gives you the strength to keep moving. You are far better than those whose lives have been engulfed by anxiety, depression and lack of motivation.
Regardless of the motivation we can derive out of our desire to have money, it’s likely that you have come to realise that the very important, meaningful, rewarding and most valuable things in life cannot be bought.
Our desire to have money and LOTS of it has been stretched by the lifestyle society seeks to sell to us.
A friend of mine once said ‘I do not know why people are so interested in becoming millionaires. These people do not consider the fact that, having millions will not only enable them to buy what they think they need, they will spend the valuable and most important times of their life protecting their millions…In the long run, they will miss the valuable moments of life and the priceless things that money cannot not buy’
Let’s look at 5 of the most important things in life that you can achieve without money…
1. Purpose In Life
Having a purpose in life or living a purposeful life is a question that money can never answer. If you are a person who finds real peace, true meaning and fulfillment in adulterated things like the latest fashion trends and latest electronics, then you are FREE to think that money will buy you a purpose in life.
What is the real value and price you place on our life? Do those popular trends determine your existence, price and value? If the answer is NO, then there is more to life than these things that money buys. Believe it or not, there is a real purpose to your existence.
Life is short, beautiful and valuable. Hidden in the serenity of life is its own substance- purpose.
Allocating your purpose in life and living that purpose is the ultimate chase that every one of us must make. Living a purposeful life is an individual conviction which cannot be fettered by any amount of money.
The uniqueness of your life cannot be purchased with money. If you believe that it is not as a result of randomness that you have life; then you must know that, embedded within your unique life is a hidden purpose which you have to work your way and find.
This purpose that will incessantly satisfy your heart, bring you great joy and endless fulfillment can never be bought with money.
2. True Love
True Love is one of the most precious attributes one can be blessed with in life; it blossoms from deep within the heart. Without it, your purpose and motivation for the goals and pursuits you dream of in life will become meaningless and exhausting.
Love transcends the reach of money, it is a genuine human feeling which cannot be bought with money, bribed, begged, manipulated or forced. Love is the purest and one of the most complex emotions we can ever find.
Since True Love has that transcending power and it dissolves the very borders and boundaries of material influence, any attempt to buy it with money will result to a wild goose chase.
If you ever think money will buy you True Love, then you are confusing True Love with False/Manipulated Love.
The feeling True Love carries is priceless and has no substitute; you can never buy this with money.
3. Inner Peace
What is more important in life than to be at peace within yourself? Achieving Inner Peace in life cannot be speeded or influenced with money. If anything at all, money in most cases distracts people from achieving Inner Peace.
Why do you think people in some poorer regions of the world are exceptionally content and at peace with themselves?
Inner Peace is a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace with yourself, with enough knowledge, enlightenment and understanding to keep yourself strong in the face of discomfort and strain. The bliss, joy, serenity and contentment that come with Inner Peace cannot be bought.
For one to experience and achieve Inner Peace, simplicity, forgiveness, opened mindedness, relinquishment of all negative feelings, purification of the thoughts, doing what you love and enjoying the little moments of life must be given relevance in his or her life.
Money cannot buy any of the above; taking control of your mind and having the lasting feeling of peace can’t be bought by even the richest of all men.
4. Everything You Want
I am sure you have not thought about money this way. Money can never buy you everything you want. If money cannot buy you everything you want, then what is the struggle for? Why are you ready to trade the best of things and times for it?
You can have the billions of dollars that you dream of and so badly want, and yet it cannot buy you everything you want in life.
Money cannot solve the puzzle of want; it is not the remedy that will bring you the total satisfaction you desire in life. It can attempt to fill the vacuum, but it will always leave more space than it would fill.
Achieving total satisfaction and getting ‘everything you want’ is out of the scope of money. It is a matter of contentment and selflessness.
5. Long Life & Health
Contrary to popular belief, having millions of cash in the bank does not in any way mean you will live long or have a better health. If anything at all, I am persuaded to believe that money rather buys you the very sickness you are working to avoid and also places you close to a lot of life terminating risks.
When it comes to long life, we all know that money is no guarantee for this. A clear evidence of this is the fact that you are alive and people like Michael Jackson, Princess Diana, Amy Winehouse , Steve Jobs and several people who had millions in their bank are no more.
Have you ever thought about how risky those fast cars, speed boats, air travels and others are? And who has plenty access to these risky things? Those with a lot of money…
I have heard a lot of people make the argument that, money can buy health because healthcare costs a lot. In response to such people, I always say, isn’t it better not to need healthcare in the first place?
No matter where you are, a good efficient healthcare is not that close of a substitute for a good healthy life, something money can never buy.
So you see, you can live a purposeful life, have true love, live healthy & long, have inner peace and above all be content without becoming slave to money.
Apart from the above, most of the valuable things in life such as Talent, Character, Respect, Happiness, Luck, 25 Hour Day, Natural Beauty, Good Friends, Trust, Good Karma, Humility and Wisdom can never be bought with money.
Using the comment box below, I would love to read from you some of the things you value in life that you have come to see money can never buy them…

Quite a number of them are artificially inflating their Twitter followers to make themselves appear popular online.
It's like a big competition now; who has the most followers, who has the biggest fans etc…hehe!
I have names and numbers…and how much some of them are paying to get these fake followers, but I will leave all that out, there's no point!.
One celeb went from 73k followers to 150k followers in less than one week. Choi! Lol. They do it in a way that people who are following them do not even know they are following them, and when you find out you are following them, you can't even unfollow them. But the good thing aboutit is that the Twitter accounts they target are mostly those of foreigners.
And it cost less N1.5k per follower..in case anyone is interested…:-)
US presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, was recently called out for his fake twitter followers and Youtube recently stripped 2 billion views from Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Beyonce, Rita Ora, Michael Jackson's videos onits site amid fears the figures were artificial inflated.
An impeccable family source informed our office that the respected woman of virtue is battling to live in Hospice, UK, where she is admitted in one of the hospitals.
Doctors had told her that she would die yesterday, which threw some of her family members into confusion. Her children had thought she would die, but like a cat with nine lives, she cheated death, against the doctors' prediction.
What a family source is revealing exclusively to gistbank.blogspot.com is that her doctors at the St. Joseph's Hospice, Hackney Central, London, hospital, where she is currently at, are insisting that the ex-governor's sister will die.
Even though she is still bedridden, her immediate family members and friends are hopeful that she cheats death a bit longer again.
Another family source told gistbank.blogspot.com that her condition is very critical at the moment and that only God can do wonders to make her live as against what the doctors are saying.
We learnt Sylvia Nduka got engaged to her secret boyfriend on new year's day. She is set to get married in late 2013.
She was spotted at a wedding in Lekki Lagos on Saturday with a beautiful engagement ring .
Though no man was spotted with her but sources in the know claim she is trying to make her romance a secret affair.
Congrats to her.
According to her, she woke up today and a particular nagging thought wouldn't leave her head and she has decided to pour it all out.
Read her full message below.
THE 7(SEVEN) DEADLY SINS
I woke up this morning and this thought wouldn't leave my head… "The 7 deadly Sins" "The 7 deadly sins"
I don't know why it kept ringing in my head as I hadn't watched a movie or even read anything similar to the subject before I went to bed or even in recent times.
However, never being one to ignore the signs, I decided to do a little research and read up on "The 7 deadly sins" and it definitely was an eye opener.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Proverbs 6:16-19
"There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:
Haughty eyes, (Pride) A lying tongue,(A Liar)
Hands that shed innocent blood,(Murderer)
A heart that devises wicked schemes,
Feet that are quick to rush into evil,
A false witness who pours out lies
And a person who stirs up conflict in the community."(Gossip)
The real 7 sins however are; Lust. Gluttony. Greed. Sloth. Wrath. Envy. Pride.
Lust : Doesn't relate to just anything sexual, but relates to an obsession with pleasure. A disordered desire for inordinate physical enjoyment. Anyone who can't get enough of a "good" thing so much that it turns bad is lustful.
Gluttony : Gluttony isn't just about excessive eating, it pertains to wanting anything in excessive amounts even when you have no use for it. Anyone who wants more than they need or can make use of at any point in time is a glutton.
Greed : Pertains to an obsessive desire for material wealth and Power. A desire to amass any and everything the world has to offer. Anyone who revels in the attainment of wealth and power in order to be better than and/or have control over others is greedy.
Sloth: Sloth is a kind of spiritual laziness as opposed to mere physical fatigue. It means not making it a priority to do what we should, or change what we should in ourselves. Some people might call it apathy, which means a lack of feeling. An example of sloth is someone avoiding to do the right thing due to a lack of personal motivation.
Wrath : Wrath or anger is an emotion that makesus want do hostile things to each other. It isn't the "anger" itself that is the sin, but the actionsit leads us to should we allow it to. An example of an action anger can cause is vengeance.
Envy: Envy is the love of what other people possess, rather than what is Good, Beautiful and True. Anyone who covets what people around him/her have and wishes it was theirs is envious.
Pride: Pride is actually at the root of all sin. That is why it is listed first and that's why I'm talking about it last. This is because pride is first and foremost inherent in all sin.
Proud people are those that look condescendingly on others. They look at others as inferior in an arrogant way and see themselves as better than everyone else.
It is pride that makes you envious. It is pride that makes you angry. It is pride that makes you greedy. Pride is the root cause of lust!
Of gluttony! and if you look closely, of sloth too. Laziness comes out of believing, you're too goodto do something or an action is beneath you, therefore you do nothing!
In conclusion, after my research I believe that if we all let go of pride, a lot of wrongs in the world would turn right.
Interesting piece! Who knows may be Goldie is moving closer to her original calling.
