Chris Brown And Frank Ocean In Ugly Brawl
Chris Brown was involved in an all-out brawl with Frank Ocean Sunday night, and sources connected with Chris insist Ocean started it.
Chris was at Westlake Studio in the L.A. area listening to one of the artists he represents. The sources say as Chris went to leave, Frank Ocean and his crew blocked Chris from leaving. The sources say Frank said, "This is my studio, this is my parking spot."
We're told Chris went to shake Frank's hand … and that's when one of Frank's people attacked Chris. Sources connected with Chris say one of Chris' friends jumped in front and hit Frank's friend.
Sources connected with Chris say Frank then came at Chris … Chris pushed him away and they started brawling.
The police were called and are on scene now.
Cops say they will continue to investigate and want to speak with Chris Brown. They refer to Ocean as "the victim" because he's the one who stuck around and spoke with police. Ocean said the fight started over a parking space (howL.A.) and Brown punched him. There were 6 people involved in the fight.
Police have cleared the scene. We're told Chris Brown was not there when officers arrived — but they did speak to Frank Ocean. At this point… we're told no one wants to press charges, and no arrests have been made.
From what we know so far, it does sound like Frank and his pride-or-die crew jumped out there first….but it still just doesn't look good that Chris seems to always be involved when somebody is bustin' heads.
Chris came under fire earlier this summer for responding with a "no homo" when asked about his thoughts on Frank deciding to come out of the closet….so maybe the tension never died down between these two…
Undergraduate Behead 20yr Old Girl After Raping Her.
An expelled 500 level student of Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna, Godwin Idoko who beheaded a 20 year old girl, Ramat Isah on New Year Day in Rafin Yashin, Bosso Niger State has told Minna Magistrate court that he beheaded the lady for refusing his request for sex after collecting his N2,500 as earlier bargained.
Idoko who was arraigned in accordance with section 221 of the penal code of culpable homicide stunned the court after the Police First Information Report(FIR) was read to him when he suddenly said he had a complain against the deceased.
“I only stabbed her, I did not behead her. I paid her the sum of N2,500 to have sex with her. After collecting the money and I undressed myself and in the process of having sex, she grabbed and squeezed my manhood very hard. She also bite my hand to peel off my skin. Out of pain, I used a knife to stab her at the neck,” he declared.
The presiding Chief Magistrate Mohammed Gimba Gabi reminded the accused of the magnitude of the offence which carries death penalty when Idoko feigned ignorance and trivialised the offence.
According to the Chief Magistrate Court if the case as contained in the section of the penal code is established the court would not have the jurisdiction to try the case but a High Court.
The police prosecutor, Inspector John Atumeyi said that investigation into the matter had just commenced and since the offence carried death penalty the accused should not be granted bail.
The Chief magistrate who adjoined the case till the 4th of March 2013 ordered that the accused person be remanded in prison custody as investigation into the case continues.
No Tears As Lawrence Dress Splits
It's the stuff of nightmares, a wardrobe malfunction in epic public view.
But Jennifer Lawrence appeared to take the calamity in her stride at today's Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The Silver Linings Playbook actress seemed to rip her midnight blue Christian Dior gown as colleagues hugged her near her dinner table, the midnight blue silk visibly coming apart at the thigh.
At nearby tables, Marion Cotillard and Nicole Kidman both appeared to witness the mishap, their faces a mix of sympathy and amused shock - though there was little the actress could do but take to the stage.
By the time the 22-year-old winner of the best actress gong had reached the dais, a gaping split showed the skirt had all but detached from the gown, exposing a sheer lining.
Holding the fabric carefully, Lawrence kept her cool as she received her award, with few in the auditorium the wiser - leaving it up to the world's TV cameras to give the game away.
Whether the dress had originally been designed to include a sheer panel, or had been altered at the last minute, Dior's couture creations are not known for poor workmanship - even in the path of an errant heel or overzealous congratulatory hug.
Later photos show the actress once again looking ship-shape - no
doubt the result of the army of supporting staff waiting in the wings.
It was possibly the last thing the actress needed, her night already marred by the pneumonia she has been laid low with.
But a win wasn't to be overshadowed by illness or frock shocks, Lawrence’s crowd-pleasing speech hailed as "hilarious" by Twitter fans - including high praise from fellow actress Kirstie Alley, who tweeted: "Jennifer Lawrence...you are the real thing."
Argo Continues Winning Streak
The CIA thriller Argo continues to steamroll through awards season, winning the top honour for overall cast performance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
SAG's lead-acting honours went to Jennifer Lawrence won for her role as a troubled widow in a shaky new relationship in the lost-souls romance Silver Linings Playbook and Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln in the Civil War epic Lincoln.
The supporting film awards Sunday went to Anne Hathaway of Les Miserables and Tommy Lee Jones of Lincoln.
"It occurred to me - it was an actor that murdered Abraham Lincoln," said Day-Lewis, a solid front-runner to join an exclusive list of three-time acting Oscar winners.
"And therefore, somehow it is only so fitting that every now and then an actor tries to bring him back to life again."
The SAG cast win came a day after Argo claimed the top honour from the Producers Guild of America, whose winner often goes on to claim best picture at the Academy Awards.
Argo also was a surprise victor two weeks ago at the Golden Globes, where it won best drama and director for Ben Affleck.
The award momentum positions Argo for a rare feat at the February 24 Oscars, where it could become just the fourth film in 85 years to be named best picture without a nomination for its director.
"To me this has nothing to do with me, it has to do with the incredible people who were in this movie," said Affleck, who also stars in Argo and accepted the SAG prize alongside his cast.
It was a brisk, businesslike and fairly bland evening as the actors union handed out honours to a predictable line-up of winners who generally had triumphed at earlier Hollywood ceremonies or past SAG shows.
"Now I have this naked statue that means some of you even voted for me, and that is an indescribable feeling," Silver Linings star Lawrence said after explaining she earned her SAG card at age 14 by filming a spot for MTV.
Hathaway won for her role as a doomed single mother forced into prostitution in the adaptation of the stage musical based on Victor Hugo's epic novel. Her win came over four past Oscar recipients - Sally Field, Helen Hunt, Nicole Kidman and Maggie Smith.
"I'm just thrilled I have dental," Hathaway said. "I got my SAG card when I was 14. It felt like the beginning of the world. I have loved every single minute of my life as an actor. ... Thank you for nominating me alongside incredible women and incredible performances."
Jones, who was not at the show, won for his turn as abolitionist firebrand Thaddeus Stevens in the Civil War epic. The win improves his odds to become a two-time Academy Award winner. He previously won a supporting-actor Oscar for The Fugitive.
On the television side, with 30 Rock ending its run, its stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin won the SAG awards for best comedy performers. It was Baldwin's seventh-straight win, while Fey earned her fifth SAG prize.
"Oh, my God. It's ridiculous," Baldwin said. "It's the end of our show, which is sad. Everybody is sad about that. It was the greatest experience I've ever had."
Fey gave a plug for the show's finale airing Thursday, noting that it's up against The Big Bang Theory.
"Just tape The Big Bang Theory for once, for crying out loud," Fey said.
Modern Family won for best overall cast in a TV comedy show. Accepting for the cast, Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson offered thanks to the makers of 30 Rock and another departing series, The Office, saying "you all have set the comedy bar so high."
Ferguson joked that if the 30 Rock or The Office stars need jobs, they should contact the Modern Family casting director.
The TV drama acting awards went to Claire Danes of Homeland and Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad.
"It is so good to be bad," Cranston said.
Downton Abbey won the TV drama cast award.
Julianne Moore's turn as Sarah Palin in Game Change earned her the TV prize for best actress in a movie or miniseries. Kevin Costner won for best actor in a movie or miniseries for Hatfields & McCoys.
Fey, who memorably spoofed Palin herself in Saturday Night Live sketches, said backstage that Moore's performance was "incredible. She really disappeared into the character, she did a real film acting job. You wouldn't want a sketch acting job in that movie."
Earlier, the James Bond adventure Skyfall and the fantasy series Game of Thrones picked up prizes for best stunt work, honors announced on the red carpet before the official SAG Awards ceremony.
JoBeth Williams and Scott Bakula announced the winners, noting the value of stunt players, who often are overlooked for their contributions to film and television.
"The stunt men and women of our union are critical to the work that gets done," Bakula said. "They keep us healthy, they keep us alive, they keep us working. They keep our shows working."
The SAG honours are the latest show in a puzzling Academy Awards season in which Hollywood's top prize, the best-picture Oscar, looks up for grabs among several key nominees.
Honors from the actors union, next weekend's Directors Guild of America Awards and Saturday night's Producers Guild of America Awards - whose top honour went to Argo - typically help to establish clear favourites for the Oscars.
But Oscar night looks more uncertain this time after some top directing prospects, including Affleck for Argo and Kathryn Bigelow for Zero Dark Thirty, missed out on nominations. Both films were nominated for best picture, but a movie rarely wins the top Oscar if its director is not also in the running.
Steven Spielberg's Lincoln would seem the Oscar favourite with 12 nominations. Yet all of the triumphs for Argo leave the Oscar race looking like anybody's guess.
The SAG honours at least should help to establish solid front-runners for the stars. All four of the guild's individual acting winners often go on to receive the same prizes at the Academy Awards.
The SAG cast prize has a spotty record at predicting the eventual best-picture recipient at the Oscars. Only eight of 17 times since the guild added the category has the cast winner gone on to take the best-picture Oscar. The Help won the guild's cast prize last year, while Oscar voters named The Artist as best picture.
Such past guild cast winners as The Birdcage, Gosford Park and Inglourious Basterds also failed to take the top Oscar.
Receiving the guild's life-achievement award was Dick Van Dyke, who presented the same prize last year to his The Dick Van Dyke Show co-star, Mary Tyler Moore.
After waiting on stage for a prolonged standing ovation to end, Van Dyke said, "That does an old man a lot of good."
Norah Jones to Sing 'Ted' Song at Oscars
The song has music by Walter Murphy and lyrics by Seth MacFarlane , and the performance will be the Grammy-winner Jones' first at the Oscars.
"I had such a great time recording this song with Seth, and was thrilled to find out that it was nominated for an Oscar," Jones said in a release. "Getting to perform it at such a prestigious event, which my friend is hosting, is a once in a lifetime opportunity."
MacFarlane will host the Oscars on Sunday, Feb. 24 from the Dolby Theatre -- formerly the Kodak Theatre -- at the Hollywood and Highland complex inHollywood, and will air live on ABC.

CAF Dismisses Egyptian Referee Who Officiated Nigeria vs Zambia
The referee awarded a rather controversial penalty at the late minute of the game to Zambia, giving them an equalizing goal.
A top official of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed on Sunday that the 36-year old referee, who became an international referee in 2008, will take no longer take part in the on-going championship in South Africa.
"He has been sent home. He will have no further action at this Cup of Nations. His decisions did not tally with best practices of the refereeing profession and we would not allow anyone to start re-writing the rules of the game here," said the official.
The dismissal was confirmed in a statement signed by the Assistant Media Director, for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Mr Ademola Olajire.
Am certain that a mixed set of reactions would be heard from Nigerian soccer fans as some would say"What's the benefit of it? The damage has been done".The light on the matter is that other referees from nowon would handle their whistles with caution.
But Dear Super Eagles, what shall it profit a referee to award a penalty to your opponent when you are leading the match with like 2 or 3 goals!!!!!!
Musician Kicked Out Of House After 2 Weeks After Wedding
Mrs Olaide Adetuberu reportedly sent her husband, Mr. Gbemi Adetuberu, out of her apartment for allegedly making the heat in the kitchen unbearable for her with his endless beatings. It was alleged that Gbemi was seen 20 days after the N4m wedding, beating the living daylight out of his wife in Lagos during an event that had foreign guests in attendance.
The interior decorator was said to have kept mum over the battery allegation but eventually did opened the Pandora box after getting the nod of her lawyer. The lady confirmed that she had been through hell in the hands of her husband. She described her husband, Gbemi, as a violent husband whom she had hoped would change in marriage. Hear her: "He used to beat me even before we got married, but I believed he would change once we got married. I was wrong."
Claiming that she had invested millions of naira in her husband's fledging musical career since they started dating a year and a few months ago, Laide said Gbemi was not appreciative enough "to show some seriousness in his career" to justify her investment in his life. "He had always been interested in music, a passion that I passionately invested money in just to please him even though my parents wanted him to be a prophet. Because I wanted to support him, I paid almost N200,000 for him to participate at the NIMEX exhibition held at the Muson Centre, apart from other amounts spent on him", she added.
At the exhibition on November 28, both had agreed that Laide would stay in the car outside the venue of the exhibition to get some rest as she had been exhausted by preparations for the event, and that Gbemi should join her in the caronce he was done auditioning at the event. Gbemi was said to have been through in less than 30 minutes after he was called on stage, but didn't go to join her wife in the car as both had agreed. Worried, she looked for Gbemi and found him chatting with an usher.
Not wanting to cause a scene however, she walked up to her husband,
asked the usher to excuse her as she wanted to talk to her husband, and
both strolled into the venue of the exhibition. They talked briefly but
Laide said she could sense from her husband's countenance that he was
getting worked up. Laide ignored Gbemi, who had shouted at her that they should leave the event and go home. "He didn't care whether we were at a public place, he continued to raise his voice at me", she said.
Laide said she was ashamed as Gbemi continued to shout at her that
she should leave Muson Centre and both should start going home. She
refused to do as she was instructed by her husband and his next action
was to slap her. "I was stunned. He just kept beating me right there in public and astonished guests couldn't do anything .
It took the intervention of security officials before I could be rescued from him. He beat me blue black. I never expected he would beat me like that in public. I had expected that he would wait till we got home, he didn't. He has come to beg me, but I am afraid of losing my life because that is how he has been beating me from time. Even my friends warned me not to marry him because each time he came to beg me after beating me, I always forgave him. But I'm now afraid for my life".
She said that her in-laws were aware of the ugly development, but that each time she reported Gbemi, his parents always waded in and Gbemi would always promise not to beat her again. She also said she reported these beatings to some of her friends. "After the Lagos beating, I decided to send him out of my apartment because the suffering was getting too much for me. I reported to the police at Iyaganku in Ibadan, because he has started threatening me via e-mails since he can't come to my house. I have refused to take him back but I'm still afraid he may break into my house one day to injure me."
This is obviously the shortest celebrity marriage ever…..However, we need to hear the husband's side of the story.
Woman Strips Before US Ambassador In Zimbabwe
Ms Mutsenhu, a strong Zanu PF supporter who is based in Mutare, forced
Mr Whaton and his entourage to make a hasty retreat from Turner Memorial
Library last Wednesday where the ambassador had toured an American
Corner at the Mutare City Council-run Library.
In some circles, Ms Sheila Mutsenhu was 'declared' a heroine, others simply labeled her 'an experienced stripper' who embarrassed the whole nation. However, an adamant Ms Mutsenhu said she was not moved by what people were saying, as she was on a mission to add her voice on the growing chorus for the removal of sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by US and its Western allies .
"I am happy that my actions helped to send the message home. As
Zimbabweans, it is high time we should send a very clear message to the
US and its allies that sanctions are hurting ordinary citizens.
They should be removed like yesterday because they are long overdue. THERE IS
NO GOING BACK IN MY ANTICS and what you saw is small, BIGGER THINGS ARE COMING because enough is enough," she said.
However, Zimbabweans demanded to know why Ms Mutsenhu had not been arrested yet amid reports that she had violated public indecency laws.
"If she was not a Zanu PF supporter certainly she would have been
arrested for public indecency. Police must arrest her. Evidence is there
in abundance," commented one Tinashe Chinowawa on My Zimbabwe's Facebook Page.
