Woman Loses Tooth After Biting Burglar Who Broke Into Her House

Police in the Cayman Islands say a woman drove off an intruder by biting him. It cost her a tooth, though.

Police Chief Inspector Robert Scotland says the woman was home alone when she woke up to find a man standing over her bed.

Scotland told The Associated Press on Friday that the woman bit the intruder when he put his hand over her mouth.

He then fled.

He said the woman was treated at a hospital and that police are still looking for the intruder.

The incident occurred early Thursday in the northwest part of Grand Cayman.

Chris Brown Thanks Adele For Refuting Grammy Photo Rumors

If you didn't know, Chris Brown is back on Twitter, again, and yesterday used the social media platformto thank British singer Adele for having his back. Brown was grateful that the "In The Deep" singer refuted rumors that they had a verbal confrontation at the 55th Grammy Awards this past weekend.

"Pleasure to meet u @OfficialAdele I heard your words and thats all that matters. Thank u for speaking truth. CB," tweeted Brown .

Rumors were running rampant that Adele chastised Brown for not standing when Frank Ocean won the Grammy award for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Brown was nominated in the same category for his Fortune album and allegedly brawled with Ocean in a Hollywood studio about a week before.

The speculation started thanks to a now infamous photo where Adele is seen saying something to Chris Brown while the struggle face the R&B crooneris donning makes it appear that he is being read the riot act.

Another moment that added fuel to the talk that Adele was allegedly peeved at Breezy was when she can be seen eyeing that he is clapping, but not standing. In fact, there are also pics of Adele & Chris at the same event all smiles for the camera.

Adele refuted claims of any rift via Twitter, too. "Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo actually!," she tweeted on February 13.

Brown also took the time to thank the ladies, tweeting, " CB:HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to all the beautiful women in the world. Our Queens….. Our mothers, sisters, and daughters. I love you."

Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Drop $780,000 On Nannies For Baby KimYe

KimKardashian and Kanye West are planning to add a "nanny wing" complete with spa onto their new home.

The pair — who are expecting their first child together — want to employ three members of staff to assist with the new arrival of their baby, and are willing to spare no expense when it comes to treating the employees well.

"As with everything Kim and Kanye related, they're not holding back," a source said.
"Each of the nannies will receive a salary of around$260,000 per annum. They will be given a car each and new phones so that they can stay in contact with Kim and Kanye around the clock.

"They want to build a wing on their mansion with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a second nursery,a kitchen and a spa area for their new employees.

"Kim and Kanye feel it's important to have a separate area marked off so that they can still spendtime alone as a family.

Mike Tyson’s Wife Rushed To The Hospital For Severe Stomach Pains

Mike Tyson rushed his wife to the hospital yesterday in Chicago … after she complained of excruciating stomach pains, TMZ has learned.

A rep for Tyson tells TMZ, the boxing legend and his wife Kiki are currently in Chicago for Mike's one-manshow "Undisputed Truth" — and yesterday, Kiki fell extremely ill … to the point where she needed immediate medical attention.

According to the rep, Mike took her to the hospital where she was admitted to the ER and released shortly after.

So far, it's unclear what caused the stomach pains …but we're told Kiki will be returning to the hospital soon for a follow-up.
We're told doctors do not believe the condition is life-threatening.

Police Arrest Rapper 2 ChainZ In Other To Take Picture With Me

2 Chainz was arrested for kush possession in Maryland last night … and the rapper is PISSED — claiming cops were just "f*ckin" with him … and then asked him for pictures.

The guy behind the hits "Spend It" and "I'm Different" was busted around 10 PM in Easton last night after Maryland State Police pulled over a white van he was traveling in … along with 6 other people.

But cops say 2 Chainz was in possession of drugs — so he was arrested. He was the only person in the van taken into custody.

2 Chainz was taken to a nearby station where he was booked, released and even took a picture with police … but the rapper says he only took the shot because THE COPS asked him for it.

After the incident, 2 Chainz went on a Twitter rampage — saying, "dam police f*ckn wit a n**ga."

He continued, "Locked me up and then Wanted pictures smh (shakin' my head)."

2 Chainz also claimed that he didn't exactly have a bag of kush on him at the time … only a grinder (a device used to crush up weed so you can smoke it.)

Goldie’s death: Prezzo devastated, heads to Lagos, as Milicent plans mass in Kenya.

Goldie's close friend and partner Prezzo is on his way to Lagos, following the death last night of the entertainer and Big Brother alumnus.

Our correspondent in Kenya says Prezzo's friend, Shaffie Weru spoke to Prezzo's mum who confirmed that her son left for Nigeria on Thursday night most probably after getting the news of Goldie's death. Shaffie is a radio presenter with Kiss 100.

We're told Prezzo, who met Goldie while both were housemates at the Big Brother Africa Stargame in 2012, is 'beyond shocked'.

Meanwhile another Big Brother colleague Milicent Mugadi says it's difficult for her to digest the news of Goldie's death. 'Later in the day I will organise together with a few friends to have a private mass to remember Goldie. May she rest in peace. I still cannot digest the news', she said.

A statement credited to Kennis Music boss Keke Ogungbe says the late singer was dead on arrival at Reddington Hospital, in Victoria Island, Lagos. Cause of death is yet to be known.

5 Ways to Trick Your Brain into Eating Healthy

#5. Use a Bigger Fork

Using a bigger fork makes you eat less food, as weird as that sounds. It's not that your wrist will be too tired to keep shoveling stuff into your mouth; it's that you'll simply feel full with less food than if you were eating with a regular-sized fork.
In one study, researchers invaded a restaurant over several days and gave random customers different types of forks. Half of the customers were given forks 20 percent larger than average size, while the other half were given forks 20 percent smaller. The researchers went through the diners' plates when they were done and measured how much food was eaten off of each of them, which isn't creepy at all.

What they found out was that the people who were given larger forks left significantly more food on their plates than those with smaller forks. But why would larger bites make you eat less? Because sight plays a huge role in our eating habits. We rely on visual cues to guide us when we're eating (i.e., how much food we see on the plate), since it takes our nervous system a while to realize whether we're really full or not.
So, if your senses are telling your brain that you should be satisfied, the brain will decide that, what the hell, you might as well be. When you use a bigger fork, you'll see yourself making bigger dents in the overall food on the plate, fooling your brain into believing that you're overeating. With a smaller fork, the transition from "a lot of food" to "hardly any food at all" is more subtle, so you keep on snacking well past the point your thunder thighs would appreciate.

However, the "use a bigger fork" trick only works at regular meal times, where your goal is to eat until you're satisfied. If you're snacking (where your goal is to eat until your pants explode), using a bigger fork will simply make you eat more food.

#4. Look at Healthy Food While You're Eating Something Else

Here's a simple trick to lose a few pounds: Keep healthier food around ... and don't eat it. Just let it sit there, looking disapprovingly at the pizza you're gorging on.

Why? It turns out that just having healthier food on your table makes you a more conscientious eater. According to researchers from Cornell University, even if you don't choose the healthier alternative in front of you, you're still going to make healthier choices than if you didn't have that fruit or salad there at all.
In their study, they went to a school cafeteria over several days and put different side options on the lunch line. On one day they placed sugary meals like applesauce and fruit cocktail on the counter, and on the next there were healthier things like green beans and bananas. Naturally, most of the students ignored the obvious attempt to make them eat better and just chose what they would normally choose.

Or at least that's what the kids thought they were doing. What the researchers found is that on the days when green beans and bananas were presented to them, even if students didn't take those items, their overall meals became healthier than on days when they were offered sugary items.
It's a priming effect -- just by being reminded that healthier food exists, subconsciously the kids felt guilty for not picking that food and ended up eating better. In other words, it's for the same reason you're less likely to curse when there is a priest sitting at your table.

#3. Pretend You're Eating Fatty Foods

You might have seen recent studies that found that diet products are bad for you, and not just because of all the chemicals that make bacteria grow in your stomach. One reason appears to be that diet soda and other low-fat products make you fat because you believe that they don't.

And before you even ask, no, the same argument does not apply to condoms.

The way a meal is labeled is more important than you think. In one experiment, researchers gave people cookies that were labeled either medium or large and told them that they could take as many as they wanted. The catch? The medium and large cookies were the same size, and since people trust their brains more than they trust their guts, people who were eating the "medium" cookies ate more than those who were eating the "large" cookies, simply because they thought they were making a healthier choice.
But this isn't a purely psychological thing; there's actually a real bodily effect going on here. In our guts, we have this hunger hormone called ghrelin, which is pronounced "gremlin" with a thick Jamaican accent. Ghrelin, essentially, is what makes you eat -- more ghrelin in your system means more appetite, and less means you feel like those two slices of pizza were enough. But here's the thing: How much ghrelin is produced depends not just on how much you've eaten, but on how much you think you have.

Steve Carell to Star in a ‘FBI Wedding Comedy’

Steve Carell is giving the secret agent comedy another go, even though no one liked Get Smart. It actually isn’t news that he’s starring in this as-of-yet untitled film, described as being, “in the vein of Stakeout and My Best Friend’s Wedding.”

Rather, it’s news that Universal is actually starting up production on the movie, hiring David Flebotte to do a rewrite on the original script by Phil Alden Robinson. Carell’s Carousel Productions company is producing. They’re the same people behind this year’s Carell starrer The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.

Carell’s a busy guy in general. This year alone, he’s in Wonderstone, The Way, Way Back, Despicable Me 2, Foxcatcher, and Anchorman: The Legend Continues. Since Way, Way Back is his subdued indie role, Foxcatcher (in which he plays a real-life man with mental illness who murdered an Olympic wrestler) looks like a serious role, and Despicable Me 2 is his kiddie role, this film, Anchorman 2, and Wonderstone seem to be filling the “wacky comedy” niche. We’ll see how well it turns out.

New ‘Byzantium’ Trailer Released

First Full-Length Trailer for ‘Monsters University’

After a lot of brief teasers, there is now a two-and-a-half minute trailer for Monsters University, Pixar’s upcoming prequel to Monsters Inc. The plot sees fresh young monsters Mike (Billy Crystal) and Scully (John Goodman) at college, where will see them learning how to scare children, which I’m sure won’t seem at all pointless given that we all know that they discover an alternative to scaring children in the first film. The duo are rivals here, although presumably they will settle their differences and become best friends at some point in the movie.
The trailer looks… alright. Pixar keeps improving their animation. I like how they’re able to go hog-wild with character design, given the setting. None of the jokes really won me over, though. Also I still don’t really see why this movie has to, well, exist for any reason besides merchandising and franchising. But we’ll see how it is.

Peter Dinklage May Join ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

X-Men director, Bryan Singer, has his sights set on Peter Dinklage for  X-Men: Days Of Future Past.  Nothing is confirmed yet, but according to a Deadline.com exclusive, if Singer has his way, Dinklage will join the cast.

Peter Dinklage has an Emmy for his performance as Tyron Lannister on the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. The actor also voiced Captain Gutt in Ice Age: Continental Drift, played Liz Lemon’s short-term boyfriend on 30 Rock, and a children’s book editor with a short fuse in the holiday favorite, Elf. 

Including Dinklage in the the mix would add yet another power player in an already stacked cast. Singer has some of the biggest names in Hollywood already on board. This years biggest Oscar nominees, Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence, are slated to appear, alongside Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, AND Michael Fassbender. Who knows who else Singer might recruit for the latest installment of the franchise, but his use of so many dynamic actors and actresses is sure to please a variety of different demographics.

Kris Humphries Sacked By Lawyer

Kris Humphries' lawyer Marshall Waller has sacked the athlete as his client.

TMZ reports that the pair have not been on the same page regarding how to proceed with his divorce from Kim Kardashian for quite some time.

In formal documents obtained by the website, Waller cites an "irremediable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship" as the main reason why he no longer wants to represent Kris.

Humphries is still relying on his out-of-state lawyer Lee Hutton to move forward with proceedings. But Hutton will need to seek a California attorney to sponsor him in order to legally practice in the region, as Los Angeles courts are overseeing the trial.

Kardashian famously married basketball player Humphries in a lavish wedding in August 2011, which was shown on TV. However, the 32-year-old reality star filed for divorce just 72 days later after realising the union couldn't last.

Kardashian is now in a happy relationship with rapper Kanye West and they are expecting their first child together.

TMZ reported earlier this month that Humphries will not hurry the annulment process in light of her new child.

"What is really going on here is that an 'urgency' in the form of an apparently unplanned pregnancy, something [Humphries] had nothing to do with, is perceived by [Kim] as an opportunity to gain a litigation advantage by trying to force this court to prematurely set this matter for trial," court documents read that were submitted by Humphries' former lawyer Waller.

"Indeed, why would [Kim] plan to get pregnant in the midst of divorce proceedings?"
Humphis also requesting that he be present at Kim's upcoming deposition, but claims that due to professional obligations he is only available from mid-May.

According to the website, officials believe that the magistrate overseeing the divorce is getting impatient.
Due to the nature of this drawn-out case, it is thought that the judge will set the divorce trial for March, whether or not Kris can attend depositions.

Lil Wayne Track Offends

Epic Records is going to "great efforts" to take down a new Future remix leaked over the weekend with a vulgar Lil Wayne lyric that has offended the family of Emmett Till.

The New Orleans rapper made a sexual reference to the beating death of Till, a 14-year-old Chicago boy tortured and shot in Mississippi in 1955 for whistling at a white woman.
Till's family objected and the Reverend Jesse Jackson reached out to his management, The Blueprint Group, on the family's behalf.

The label issued a statement apologising for the release of the song.
"We regret the unauthorised remix version of Future's Karate Chop, which was leaked online and contained hurtful lyrics," the statement said. "Out of respect for the legacy of Emmett Till and his family and the support of the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. ... we are going through great efforts to take down the unauthorised version."

Epic will release an official version of the song that "will not include such references."
Till, a native of Chicago, was in Mississippi visiting family in 1955 when he was killed. He was beaten, had his eyes gouged out and was shot in the head before his assailants tied a cotton gin fan to his body with barbed wire and tossed his body into the Tallahatchie River. Two white men, including the woman's husband, were acquitted of the killing by an all-white jury.

Till's body was recovered and returned to Chicago where his mother, Mamie Till, insisted on having an open casket at his funeral. The pictures of his battered body helped push civil rights into the cultural conversation in the US.

"He was murdered for whistling at a white woman in 1955, so to compare his murder and how brutally beaten and tortured he was to the anatomy of a woman was really very disrespectful," said Airickca Gordon-Taylor, Till's cousin, and the founding director of the Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation.
"We found it dishonorable to his name and what his death has meant to us as a people and as a culture. It was offensive, but not only to us, but to our ancestors and to women and to themselves as young, black men," Gordon-Taylor said.

"I just couldn't understand how you could compare the gateway of life to the brutality and punishment of death. And I feel as though they have no pride and no dignity as black men."
"Our family was very, very offended, very hurt," Gordon-Taylor said. "We're concerned about our young people as well as the image of Emmett Till."

A publicist says Lil Wayne has had no comment so far.

Nicki Minaj was generous enough to drop off an eyeful of a$$ for the fellas this Valentine’s Day while on the set of the music video for her new single, “Freaks”, with French Montana. The photo, posted on Twitter by Nicki Minaj, was accompanied by the caption:

Happy #VagDay boyz… #JerkResponsibly

Although “Freaks” has a super busy beat, it has club-banger potential. The track, produced by Rico Love, samples dancehall classics like “Freaks” by Lil Vicious and Doug E. Fresh as well as Chaka Demus & Pliers’ “Murder She Wrote.”

Album I can't live without: Exodus

I am inclined to agree with Time Magazine and it's conclusion that Bob Marley's Exodus is the greatest album of all time.

The album is a wonderful fusion of political comment, rebellion and masterful lyrics combined with the wonderfully distinctive reggae sound. Some tracks are fun, some are full of moralistic messages. Reggae may not be everyone's cup of tea, but few artists have dominated such a major genre.

I first heard the album in 2003 when was 19 and at university. It was during a musical awakening where I had realised just how awful dance/trance/house music really was. I wanted to listen to more music with substance and meaning. Exodus filled that void beautifully.

The album's background is interesting because Marley was forced to flee his beloved Jamaica for London after an attempt on his life. It was a politically motivated assassination attempt on Bob Marley who was embroiled in the poilitical discourse in Jamaica in the mid-1970s. A politician used a campaign slogan: "We know where we're going."

The marginalised Rastifarian perspective was displayed in the album title song where Marley uses the lyrics "Open your eyes and look within. Are you satisfied with the life you're living? We know where we're going, we know where we're from, we're leaving Babylon into our father's land. Exodus".

My personal favourite track from the album is the opener, 'Natural Mystic'. It's a dark, heavy song but is very well structured. I'm also very fond of 'The Heathen' which is another excellent protest song.

Michael Mann, Chris Hemsworth Teaming Up for Cyberthriller

Michael Mann is partnering with Chris Hemsworth for an untitled thriller for Legendary Pictures.

Mann has closed a deal to direct and Hemsworth to star in the project Mann co-wrote with Morgan Davis Foehl .

The storyline is said to revolve around cyber-terrorism. Other plot details are being kept under wraps, including Hemsworth's role.

Thomas Tull, Mann and Jon Jashni will produce. The company's Alex Garcia is exec producing.

Mann hasn't directed a feature since 2009's Public Enemies and is notoriously choosy about his movies,sometimes spending years developing projects that he ultimately abandons or are sidelined due to high budgets studios are not willing to tackle. He directedthe pilot of HBO's horse racing drama Luck , which aired 2012.

It is unclear how the project fits into Legendary's timetable and both Mann's and Hemsworth's. The latter was to have starred in Steven Spielberg 's Robopocalypse , but that movie has been put on holdindefinitely, so his schedule is free. The actor has the Ron Howard racing movie Rush in the can; footage from the film generated some buzz at Berlin's European Film Market.

Box Office Report: 'Die Hard 5,' 'Safe Haven' in Close Valentine's Day Race

Couples celebrating the holiday are flocking tothe latest Nicholas Sparks film adaptation, but"Die Hard 5" will easily win the long Presidents Day weekend.

Bruce Willis franchise installment A Good Day to Die Hard and Nicholas Sparks' romantic drama Safe Haven are finding themselves in a relatively close race at the Valentine's Day box office.

Matinee and early Thursday evening ticket sales suggest that 20th Century Fox's Die Hard 5 will earnin the $10 million range for the day, including$840,000 in Wednesday night previews.

Relativity Media's Safe Haven , benefiting from couples celebrating the sweetheart's holiday, could likewise hit $10 million for the day, although conservative estimates have the film grossing $8 million to $9 million.
The playing field should change dramatically once Valentine's Day is over and the long President's Day weekend gets underway. Die Hard 5 is expected to easily top the frame with a five-day debut in the $45million to $50 million range.

Safe Haven is projected to post a five-day opening of$22 million to $27 million.
The third new Valentine's Day nationwide release is romantic fantasy Beautiful Creatures , based on the first book in the YA Caster Chronicles series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl . The movie, from Alcon Entertainment and distributed by Warner Bros., is pacing to gross in the $3 million to $4 million range on Thursday and in the $20 million range for the five-day stretch.

One issue for Safe Haven and Beautiful Creatures -- both are competing for females.
Die Hard 5 , directed by John Moore and co-starring Jai Courtney , is tracking well among males of all ages -- and among older females. In this outing, the iconic action hero John McClane travels to Moscow torescue his son (Courtney), a CIA operative played who's in some nasty trouble.
Safe Haven is directed by Lasse Hallstrom and stars Julianne Hough as a young woman who returns to her hometown only to gripped by a dark secret from her past, even as she falls for a stranger ( Josh Duhamel ).

Directed and scripted by Richard LaGravenese , Beautiful Creatures stars Alice Englert and Alden Ehrenreich . The story revolves around Lena Duchannes ( Englert ), whose special powers has longkept her separated from others. Moving to a new town, she quickly captures the attention of Ethan Wate ( Ehrenreich ), but their budding relationship is threatened by an ancient battle between good and evil.

Goldie Dead And Gone

This is so sad to learn that Nigerian Goldie (our own Lady Gaga) is no more. She died yesterday evening at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island. Goldie just returned back to Nigeria from the US yesterday asfter she attended the just concluded Grammy Awards.

On hearing the news a lot of youths tropped to the Reddington Hospital and security men stopped them from entering the hospital.

A member of Kennis music record label said she might have died of Pneumonia- An inflammatory condition of the lung—affecting primarily the microscopic air sacs known as alveoli.
