And with Michael Jordan turning 50, there's a surge of media around him. After saying in an interview that he'd take Kobe over LeBron (Note: the excerpt excluded the fact that Jordan said "in terms of championships" but whatever), Jordan said in an interview with ESPN the Magazine that he takes umbrage with the idea that modern players could play in the '90s.

Citing tougher competition and different rules, Jordan lists four players who could play in his era and questions even the mighty LeBron.

JORDAN PLAYS his new favorite trivia game, asking which current players could be nearly as successful in his era. "Our era," he says over and over again, calling modern players soft, coddled and ill-prepared for the highest level of the game. This is personal to him, since he'll be compared to this generation, and since he has to build a franchise with this generation's players.

"I'll give you a hint," he says. "I can only come up with four."

He lists them: LeBron, Kobe, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki.

When someone on TV compares LeBron to Oscar Robertson, Jordan fumes. He rolls his eyes, stretches his neck, frustrated. "It's absolutely … " he says, catching himself.

"The point is, no one is critiquing the personnel that he's playing against. Their knowledge of how to play the game … that's not a fair comparison. That's not right … Could LeBron be successful in our era? Yes.

Would he be as successful? No."
We're no basketball professionals, but LeBron James is 6'8 260 lbs. He's huge for any era. Find it hard to believe that he wouldn't be able to hoop it up with the old heads, but can you really agrue with Michael Jordan?

Forest Whitaker is furious with a NYC deli … telling TMZ he was wrongly accused of shoplifting Friday morning … and even FRISKED IN PUBLIC in a humiliating violation of his rights.

Whitaker — an Academy Award-winning MILLIONAIRE — says he was on his way out of the Milano Market on the Upper East Side Friday when he was stopped by a deli employee and accused of swiping an item from the shelf.

An eyewitness tells TMZ … the employee proceeded to frisk Whitaker in plain view … treating him as if he were a common criminal.

Shocker, the employee's pat down yielded zilch … and Forest left the establishment baffled and angry.

Says the legendary actor's rep:
"This was an upsetting incident given the fact that Forest did nothing more than walk into the deli. What is most unfortunate about this situation is the inappropriate way store employees are treating patrons of their establishment."

"Frisking individuals without proof/evidence is a violation of rights."

"Forest did not call the authorities at the request of the worker who was in fear of losing his employment. Forest asked that, in the future, the store change their behavior and treat the public in a fair and just manner."

Judge Sides With Kim Kardashian, On Divorce With Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian had a good day in court Friday in her ongoing divorce battle with Kris Humphries.

A judge ruled that their case – in which Humphries alleges that Kardashian committed fraud by never intending to be married – is ready for trial.

"[Humphries] has had more than adequate time to prepare," L.A. Superior Court Judge Stephen Moloney stated during the Friday hearing. A trial date of May 6 was set.

Neither Kardashian nor Humphries were present in court on Friday.

The NBA star's attorney, Marshall Waller – who had filed papers Thursday to be removed from the case –has long claimed difficulty in gathering evidence from various TV studios that work with Kardashian.

Kardashian, whose baby with Kanye West is due in July, has denied Humphries's claims, saying she's been legally "handcuffed" to him ever since they split.

"We want a trial because that's the only way this will end," Kardashian's lawyer Laura Wasser previously told PEOPLE. "There was no fraud. They have no case."

Legal experts say Humphries's chances of winning an annulment based on fraud is a long shot.

By facing off in a trial, Kardashian could potentially win her goal of being divorced from Humphries before her baby's due date.

Both Kardashian and Humphries were ordered to appear in person for an April 12 hearing for a last-ditch attempt to settle the case.

"Every case is capable of settling before trial," Waller told PEOPLE at an earlier hearing.

Oscar Pistorius Allegedly Carried His Dying Girlfriend Downstairs To Resuscitate Her After Shooting!

Oscar Pistorius 'carried his dying girlfriend downstairs and tried to resuscitate her as he desperately attempted to save her life' it was claimed today.

The 26-year-old allegedly cradled Reeva Steenkamp,who he allegedly shot four times, as he tried to stop her dying, performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitationon the 29-year-old.

It was reported that she was still breathing when paramedics and security guards rushed to the house.

But paramedics were unable to revive her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sources told Beeld, the Afrikaans language newspaper, that security guards heard the shots andrushed to the house, where they saw the Paralympic gold medalist running down the stairs with the law graduate in his arms.

The athlete is said to be on suicide watch due to fears the blade runner might take his own life over charges for the 'pre-planned' murder of his model girlfriend, it emerged last night.

Despite Oscar's claim that this shooting was 100% self-defense, the prosecutors ain't got time for that!

Prosecutor Gerrie Nel told the Pretoria court they would argue the shooting of Miss Steenkamp, a former TV presenter, in the early hours of Thursday was premeditated.

They will tell the court that neighbours heard screaming and shouting from the mansion on the high security Silver Lakes Estate – there had been norobberies there for the past five years – followed by a shot.
Strangely, the reality competition show that Reeva appeared on will still air the episodes featuring her in a prominent role.

A reality television programme which features Miss Steenkamp will be aired on Saturday as scheduled.

The Tropika Island of Treasure show sees Reeva Steenkamp compete alongside seven South African celebrities and seven other contestants to win a prize of one million rand prize (£72,500).

The programme's website issued a message saying: 'We are deeply saddened and extend our condolences to Reeva's family and friends.'

Executive producer Samantha Moon told the BBC: 'As we grieve today with Reeva's family and friends and struggle to make sense of this shocking tragedy, it has taken much deliberation to come to the decision to continue screening Tropika Island of Treasure 5 as planned.'

Snoop Lion Served With $546,000 Tax Lien

Rappers and tax issues go together like peanut butter and jelly, and Snoop Dogg is the latest in the long line of artists to lien with it and rock with it.

According to TMZ , the Internal Revenue Service is coming for Snoop Lion after claiming that the rapper owes $546,270.29 in unpaid tax bills. Documents that were retrieved by the gossip site claim that Reincarnated rapper turned rasta owes for two separate years, 2009 ($101,952.44) and 2011 ($444,317.85).

This isn't the first time that the "Drop It Like It's Hot" artist has had a brush up with the IRS. In 2008, The Dogg father reportedly owed over $476,000 in back taxes. The issue was resolved quickly once the lien was brought to his attention. According to what was confirmed to us by the Lagos State chairman of AGN, Emeka Rising, while contacted on phone over the news, Lugard Onoyemu, a former Lagos State AGN Secretary under Emeka Rising, died yesterday at the National Stadium.

It was reliably gathered that Lugard slumped at about 5:30pm while training at the Stadium in Surulere, Lagos. Before his death, we learnt that late Lugard wasn't hale and hearty. His death has left some of his members devastated

Who Killed Goldie???

Our source however admits it's possible the singer had been battling an unknown illness. ' I remember at least once when she had to go to the UK from treatment', he says. 'She did not say exactly what she was treatedfor, but she was away for some time'.

' It's possible it's long flight fatigue' , one Goldie friend who did not want to be named told us, adding, ' maybe she had some alcoholon board without light exercise. I saw a documentary on that before, that's why I onlydrink juice and water on board'. He insists she had ' no history of known illness '.
