Kanye West Takes Kim Kardashian To Visit His 97 Year-Old Grandpa
"She is beautiful — and she's just as sweet as she is beautiful — and that's what I liked about her!" said Portwood Williams Sr., the wizened-but-wise grandad who has long been a tower of strength for West.
"She was just down to earth, she's rich, and those kinds of people, they've got everything," added Williams, a veteran of Oklahoma's civil rights sit-ins of the 1950s who helped desegregate lunch counters.
But the retired furniture refinisher also said in an exclusive interview he "couldn't care less" if West weds the visibly pregnant Kim, expecting her first child this July.
Williams knows all about long-term nuptials — his own marriage lasted 72 years, until the death of wife Lucille five years ago. And he knows all about short-term unions — like the 72 days Kim spent with NBA star Kris Humphries before filing for divorce.
"They didn't make it," he joked.
That pessimistic view of modern marriage led him to conclude — after five hours in which Kim charmed him last autumn — that the pair should be in no rush to tie the proverbial knot.
"Maybe they could have a successful marriage, but I'm not going to spend time worrying if they're going to make it or not," Williams said.
But if Kayne ever gets around to popping the question, would he go? "No, I don't do weddings," he quipped. "I don't like weddings… You spend a lot of money, then in a few weeks, you're separated!"
This guy knows what he's talking bout. Listen to your grandaddy Kanye!
Woman In South Africa Believes A “Racist Dog” Attacked Her Daughter
"I feel that the dog is racist. The way it behaved. It shows that it was not familiar with other races." Nkosi said the dog's owner, Sean Norman, had not come to see the child nor contributed to her medical bills. "I contacted emergency services who attended to the child before taking her to a doctor. A nurse living in our complex suggested that we get the dog's vaccination record," she said.
"Since the owner was impossible, we had to get the police to intervene. We discovered that the dog's owner had defaulted on vaccinations and this puts my child at risk." Nkosi also claimed that Norman had denied that his dog had bitten her daughter.
"He (Norman) said the child was bitten by another dog. He later said the child fell while walking near a hedge, but an emergency services report and doctor's letter confirmed the incident," Nkosi said.
Norman said he had not seen the child and was not prepared to comment further on the issue. A case has been opened at the Honeydew police station. SPCA inspector Tarryn Smith did not want to comment on whether the dog was "racist" or not butsaid all domestic animals behave differently becauseof their upbringing.

Did Oscar Host Seth MacFarlane Go Too Far With Jokes....
"This is a story about man fighting to get back his woman who has been subjected to unthinkable violence, or as Chris Brown and Rihanna call it – a date movie," MacFarlane quipped as the crowd laughed nervously. "That's as bad as it gets, if it makes you feel better," he then assured the audience. "It's really not as bad as it gets."
Continuing his bit on Tarantino's slavery-era flick. which famously makes liberal use of the "N" word: "I'm told the screenplay is loosely based off of Mel Gibson's voicemails?"
Chatting up the year's other honoree that deals withissue of slavery — Lincoln — MacFarlane praised its dedicated star, Daniel-Day Lewis. "Your process fascinates me. Now you were totally 100 percent in character as Lincoln 24/7 during the movie. That's what I read. Like, you stayed in character all day, every day," he marveled.
"So like, if you saw a cell phone, would you have to be like, 'Oh my God, what's that?!' Like, if you bumped into Don Cheadle on the studio lot, did you try to free him? How deep does your method go?"
What Is Wrong With This Picture???
Bow Wow who was signed to So So Def at the age of 11, was joined by T-Pain for "Outta My System" and serenaded one special lady with his hits "Let Me Hold You" and "Like You." After all the foreplay was over she walked off the stage with his LV belt which he took of during their intimate affair.
Looks like Bow Wow was enjoying being on his knees a little too much…

50 Cent's Evolution: How His Past Is Hurting His Future
Despite his physique, 50 Cent is no longer the giant he once was. With every piece of music released, from his debut album "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" (2003) to the singles off his forthcoming album "Street King Immortal," Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has disrupted his sonic evolution by choosing to relive the past instead of exploring -- and speaking candidly about -- the present.
"Get Rich Or Die Tryin'," which turns 10 years old, showcases 50 at his best. The classic album introduced a Queens, NY rapper that spit gritty hood tales, topped with top 40 hooks, and showcased fearlessness and intensity. 50 Cent made headway for the gangsta rapper to see the lands of mainstream.
His lyrics on his first two albums -- from "Patiently Waiting" to "A Baltimore Love Song" -- were bursting with clarity and braggadocio. He had no qualms about being a political. His disregard of offending others often gave him the ante -- and he was well aware of it. He played on hip-hop faux pas by calling out rappers by name (i.e. "Back Down") and destroying careers, only to turn around and bank on the same style. No one ever questioned him though; if anything, it added to his appeal. 50 could do that… then.
But with each effort, 50's storytelling has become bleaker. While rappers make their own way, it looks like he's trying to maintain afloat. We're in a state of rap where emotion rules over money: fans are more intrigued by what lies heavy on a rapper's chest than how deep their pockets are. Plates of lobster aren't enough to entertain. At the helm are Nas, Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with their 2012 albums, and all eyes are set on Drake's forthcoming solo album. G.O.O.D. Music abandoned feelings for opulence with "Cruel Summer," and stumbled. If wanting to revisit the past -- different from reliving -- Fif should explore a depth he hasn't touched before, as Nas did with his tenth studio album, "Life is Good."
50's recent material doesn't ride the rippling wave of his tumultuous past, nor is it current with his lifestyle. It's hard to believe, let alone relate to, a business man rapping about moving drugs, as he does on his latest single, "Major Distribution." I wouldn't mind a song about the love, or lack thereof, he spoke of when talking to Oprah on OWN's Next Chapter interview, or rhymes on the rift between him and G-Unit members such as Lloyd Banks he hinted at when talking to Angie Martinez on Hot 97 last year.
50 Cent's third solo album, "Curtis" (2007), was the rapper's turning point. Contrary to the belief that there will be as much intensity lingering from the lyrics as on the wrinkles of his forehead as on the album cover, "Curtis" is safe. Album cuts such as "Ayo Technology" and "I Get Money" sparked hope for 50's evolution, but it was diminished with the arrival of doubts due to awkward love songs like "Amusement Park" and "Follow My Lead." The songs featured dated beats and a sense of urgency for a formulated hit -- also felt on "Before I Self Destruct."
"Get Rich Or Die Tryin'," which debuted and stayed at No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Albums was on the chart for 88 weeks. Each album following "GRODT," stayed less weeks on the chart. "The Massacre," which debuted at No. 1 stayed on the R&B/HIp-Hop Albums chart for 57 weeks, "Curtis," 27 weeks, and "Before I Self-Destruct," 20 weeks.
50 Cent's latest single, "My Life" featuring Adam Levine and Eminem, though, is a step in the right direction.
After all, 50 Cent is opening up about his confusion and hope. The song peaked at No. 6 on the R&B-Hip-Hop Albums chart. 50's last top 10, of his own, is "I Get Money," off "Curtis," dating back to six years ago. It also doesn't hurt that Adam Levine and Eminem, who themselves have evolved, are music's hot commodities.
50 Cent, like every other popular artist, needs to evolve. Let's hope 50 lessens the adamancy to recapture a moment from his earlier work by rhyming on matters that feel true to his current state. If not, he'll only get further away from his fans, and from himself.
Official Poster For 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire'
After winning the 74th annual Hunger Games, it’s only natural that Katniss and Peeta embark on the demanded tour to visit all the districts. And that’s just what the first official poster for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire depicts. The fun twist is that the poster is actually advertising the Victory Tour as opposed to the movie, something the Hunger Games’ official Facebook page is also playing along with. The Facebook page posted today, “The Capitol proudly announces the victors of the 74th annual Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen & Peeta Mellark, as they embark on this year’s Victory Tour! Stay tuned to The Capitol PN for updates…”

Megan Fox Cast as April O’Neil in ‘Ninja Turtles’

Megan Fox has just been cast as your favorite member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles — the only female presence available, really: the beautiful and dutiful April O’Neil.
While it was reported that a live-action Ninja Turtles would be shut down for an “indefinite” amount last June, the project has since gained a bit of momentum with producer Michael Bay. Soome tension has existed between Bay and Ninja Turtles fans over his decision to turn the famous turtles into aliens, he’s making up for it with a formidable casting: Megan Fox.
Of course, Megan Fox and Michael Bay have had their own share of tension over their work relationship in the Transformers series. Megan Fox compared the famous director to Adolf Hitler, Napoleon and your worst possible nightmare, stating:
“He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him.”While this inevitably led to Megan Fox being replaced for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, she and Michael Bay have seemingly buried the hatchet. Fox beat out such names as Jane Levy, Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Olsen for the role in Ninja Turtles, which in turn allowed Michael Bay to state on his website “TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!”
Ninja Turtles is set for release May 2014. Megan Fox is, thus far, the only casting. The Josh Applebaum script is being helmed by Jonathan Liebesman, whose other travesties include Battle Los Angeles and Darkness Falls. We’ll be sure to keep you updated, so check back for more information.
Denrele Tribute To Goldie Harvey
My super star friend sways away and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says "she's gone"...Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as gorgeous now as when last I saw her.
Her slightly disappearing figure and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her. And just at that moment, when someone at my side says she's gone, there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout - There she comes! That is what dying id - An horizon and just the limit of our sight.
My lifeline, my lexicon, Therapist and support system…we have known lots of pleasure, at times endured ppai, we have lived in the sunshine and walked in the rain. I had acute malaria (was shaking terribly) but performed “skibobo” with you at the Industry Night and Loud & Proud show, I sprained my ankle but still shot your three videos in a row in S/A.
I left my family house and moved in with you and your family right after all the Big Brother Africa madness, I did all the damage control…. I fought every organizer simply cos I wanted you on the bill with me and split my show earnings with you, I dragged you to the American Embassy even if it meant I had to get up at 4am. I endured negative criticism because shallow minds couldn’t comprehend your brand essence – I started wearing block heels (you got me the most fabulous pair of Jeffrey Campbells) and I damned the consequences. I recorded the reality show “Tru Friendship” with you because you went on and on about it and I wanted to please you.
I have been your fierce-alter ego in all your videos, I have fought your fights, endured countless eccentric P.As with you…I can go on and on and this is how you leave me? You chose an eternal sleep over a fabulous life with me? Lest I forget, I ate the entire box of birthday chocolates Bola sent to you!
Phew, I can’t type anymore, I’m playing “Good To Me” (always disturbed you to release that song) and my notepad is a misty mass of my never ending tears. So sad when people who give you the best memories, become a memory!
The Goldie I knew, despite your success and worldwide recognition, still wondered, “Am I good enough?” “Am I pretty enough?” “Will they like me?” It was this burden that made you great…And that made you stumble in the end.
Goldie if you can hear me now, you weren’t good just good enough – You were abso-frigging-lutely GREAT! You sang the whole damn song without a band- you made the picture of a showbiz star look so perfect! Your parting has left a void, but I will fit it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss and oh yes, these things I too will miss. Even though we are separated and for a time apart, I am not alone cos you’re forever in my heart. I will move mountains to continue your legacy, I will crash ceilings to spread your good works, I will break barriers to sell your “market” but above all, I will cherish the awesome times we spent together…You will forever be my source of infinity!
We wore the same shoe size and had the same body proportions. You made me start strutting lashes and recall I wore that black dress of yours you never got to wear? No masterpiece can ever match your face! To everyone reading this piece, let my dear friend rest in peace! Speak no evil about her, she was too good to be true!
I can hear you say to me…Mbirikoko, do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep, Do not stand at my grave and cry…I am not there, I did not die! - Denrele Edun
Oscars: 'Life of Pi' Tops With 4 Wins; 'Argo' Named Best Picture
Ang Lee 's film about a 16-year-old Indian boy adrift at sea with a tiger led all nominated films with four wins during the course of the Seth MacFarlane -hosted ABC broadcast from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Life of Pi topped Argo , which tied with Les Miserables with three wins -- though the Ben Affleck drama scored a victory in the night's biggest race.
In a major surprise, first lady Michelle Obama appeared via video from the White House to present the best picture Oscar.
Argo , inspired by the real-life story of a CIA mission to free Americans during the Iranian hostage crisis in 1980, followed its triumphs at the Golden Globes and Producers Guild. It bested the night's other big winners for the prize, including the year's most-nominated film: Lincoln , which took home only two statuettes -- including a history-making third best actor Oscar for Daniel Day-Lewis .
His previous wins were for My Left Foot (1990) and There Will Be Blood (2008); he was also nominated for In the Name of the Father (1993) and Gangs of New York (2002).
At the top of the broadcast, Christoph Waltz , who played bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz in Quentin Tarantino 's Django Unchained , won for best supporting actor.
The title comes after a snub at the Screen Actors Guild Awards -- and a 2010 Oscar in the category for Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds .
Anne Hathaway , who went into the show as one of the night's biggest favorites, finished her successful awards-season run for Les Miserables with the supporting actress trophy. She'd previously won the SAG and Globe for her admittedly short turn as Fantine in the movie musical -- and her win was the film's most high-profile.
Silver Linings Playbook grabbed its only win of the night rather in the broadcast when Jennifer Lawrence took lead actress. At 22, she ties Marlee Matlin (who won for Children of a Lesser God in 1987) as the youngest to win lead actress. Her Oscaralso had her topping an eclectic group, which included Jessica Chastain ( Zero Dark Thirty ),
Emmanuelle Riva (Amour), Quvenzhane Wallis ( Beasts of the Southern Wild ) and Naomi Watts ( The Impossible) .
Another repeat winner was Life of Pi's Lee. The celebrated filmmaker topped the highly contested director race -- beating out Steven Spielberg ( Lincoln ), among others, for his second win in the category. He previously won in 2006 for Brokeback Mountain.
Animation awards brought wins for Disney's Paperman (short film) and Disney-Pixar's Brave (feature). Brave also took the Globe in its category but lost the Annie to Wreck-It Ralph .
Among the other shorts, Curfew filmmaker and star Shawn Christensen took best live action, and Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine 's Inocente won for documentary.
Best documentary feature went to Sony Classics' Searching for Sugar Man . The win caps off over a year of accolades for Malik Bendjelloul and Simon Chinn 's movie about two fans' search to find musician Rodriguez . It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012, where it took both the Audience Award and Special Jury Prize.
Claudio Miranda took his first Oscar for his cinematography work on Life of Pi . It was the first of the feature's four wins and quickly preceded it getting the top honor in visual effects, with Bill Westenhofer , Guillaume Rocheron , Erik-Jan De Boer and Donald R. Elliott sharing the stage.
The costume design Oscar went to Jacqueline Durran for Anna Karenina . With three nominations under her belt, it marked her first win. Makeup and hairstyling went to Les Miserables ' Lisa Westcott and Julie Dartnell .
Amour , Michael Haneke 's acclaimed French film that also received a best picture nomination, unsurprisingly took the best foreign-language feature.
The scientific and technical awards brought a bit of asurprise after Andy Nelson , Mark Paterson and Simon Hayes locked up Les Miserables ' second win of the night in the sound mixing category. Sound editing resulted in only the fifth time tie in Oscar history: Per Hallberg and Karen Baker Landers ( Skyfall ) shared the win with Paul N.J. Ottosson ( Zero Dark Thirty ).
Argo didn't earn its first win until near the third hourof the telecast. William Goldenberg won for film editing, a category which saw him nominated twice. (He shared editing credits with Dylan Tichenor for Zero Dark Thirty ). Goldenberg previously was nominated for The Insider (1999) and Seabiscuit (2003).
Another first finally came for the night's most-nominated film ( Lincoln ) with production design. Steven Spielberg 's drama about the fight to pass the 13th Amendment took the prize in production design, with Jim Erickson winning his first Oscar and Rick Carter (set decoration) his second.
Life of Pi and Skyfall split the music awards. Mychael Danna took home score for Life of Pi . And Adele , fulfilling another one of the night's surer bets, won best song with writing partner Paul Epworth for their James Bond theme.
With two Oscars under its belt by the end of the night, Skyfall shares its number of trophies with Django Unchained and Lincoln .
