Check out the interview below to get the deets:
So what does the winner get?
Jazzy Jeff: If I'm not mistaken the winner of regional gets $10,000 – the winner of national gets $50,000 and the winner of the world gets $150,000 –$200,000.
Is this the first stage of the competition?
Jazzy Jeff: All of the djs of the surrounding areas came tonight to battle to win the title of the United States.
Who is judging tonight?
Dj Jazzy Jeff: Me, A-Trak, and Z-Trip, we judge regionals and finals.
Do you have a dj that is hands down your favorite and you think that they will win?
Dj Jazzy Jeff: No-way last year there was a dj from Chile in the world finals, he is probably one of the best djs I have ever heard in my life. You would be really surprised how global the dj community is and how good these guys are.
Bossip wants to know- who do you think is better in bed Djs or Rappers?
Jazzy Jeff: That's a good one- Probably Djs. Djs are use to 12 inches.
How do you stay current as a dj- people in the music industry usually only have 2 years max for the career where they are doing good?
Dj Jazzy Jeff: You have to remain a student- the arrogance of people who are successful think they know everything and the only way to stay current is to understand there is a 12 year old in his basement that is making up the next new thing – you have to look out for him.
Does your son give you advice?
Dj Jazzy Jeff: I have a 25 year old son that is blogger he keeps me up on all of the internet stuff and I have a 13 year old son that keeps me up on the music stuff

And for Hillary- you know she is part of the Moguldom Media Group Family- was your crush real?
Dj Jazzy Jeff: Nah- we were just real cool- we were really cool

Teyana Taylor And Karrueche Kiss In Instagram Photo
Teyana has always maintained that she and Chris Breezy are just friends, but you'd be hard-pressed to convince us that these three didn't share some "special times" together in their hey-day.
While strutting her stuff on the red carpet Tey let her tig ol' bitties breathe, probably to attract more bees to her trap.
Guess it worked. Play on playa.
Boy In Trouble For Bringing Drugs To School To Hide From Dad
According to Suffolk police, the Driver Elementary student showed his teacher the drug and said he took it from his father so that he would stop smoking.
In an email to the Suffolk News-Herald, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said: "When asked about the 'kush' in the presence of the student's mother, he advised the officer that he found it in his father's truck and brought it to school to show his teacher because he wanted his father to stop smoking."
However, under Suffolk Public Schools' student code of conduct and school board policy, students are restricted from having drugs in their possession on school grounds, regardless of the reason. Though the school is entitled to impose its own disciplinary actions, the principal is also required to report any conduct involving 'kush' to local law enforcement, as required under the Code of Virginia.
"Policy is policy, but I do think they need to check into the situation more," Jonathan Lewis, a former teacher, told WTKR.
While the student has since been suspended, NBC affiliate WAVY reports that district spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw confirmed the student has beenrecommended for expulsion. The hearing is expected to be scheduled within the next 10 days.
So the kid gets expelled, the dad gets arrested and sent to jail, and mom gets to raise the kid alone. Sounds like DARE is still working like a charm.

Seyi Law Busted By The Police!!!
22 Year Old Nigerian Boy Caught With Drugs
Ilechukwu was arrested at the international wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. The drug which was concealed inside his luggage, was detected during the screening of passengers on Ethiopian Airline at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The MMIA Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Hamza Umar, said the drug was carefully hidden in the suspects’ luggage.
Umar said: “Like several factory modes of drug concealment, we had to practically cut the bag open to detect the drugs.
“Ordinarily, when you open the bag, you will not see the drug.
“We found two brown parcels of drugs weighing 1.295kg.”
According to Ilechukwu, he was lured into the drug deal by a friend he met in Thailand.
In his words: “I am a business man. I relocated to Thailand last year where I buy goods and send to Nigeria.
“It was in Thailand that I met a man who introduced me into drug business. He gave my number to his partner in Lagos who lodged me in a hotel.
“They made me to contribute N750,000 as my contribution and promised me a handsome reward on arrival in Thailand.
“My focus was on the profit that will accrue to me. It was when I was arrested that I realised I had made a big mistake.”
The suspect attended Okija Community Primary School and Okija Grammar School, Anambra State before he started business.
He will soon be charged to court
Johnny Depp Commits to Star in 'Transcendence,' 'Black Mass' Back-to-Back in 2013
Johnny Depp has set his next two movies.
He will star in Transcendence, a sci-fi thriller to be directed by Inception cinematographer Wally Pfister. He then will segue into Black Mass, a biopic of Boston gangster Whitey Bulger for director Barry Levinson.
Both projects already had been reported by The Hollywood Reporter, but Depp had not formally committed to either movie, raising doubts about whether they would get made. A statement released Wednesday by Depp's agency resolves those questions.
Transcendence, financed and produced by Alcon Entertainment (Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are executive producing), will begin shooting in April. The film, written by newcomer Jack Paglen, will be released by Warner Bros. The story has not been revealed, but sources say Depp will play a scientist whose brain is uploaded into a supercomputer.
After that film, Depp will move on to Black Mass, based on the nonfiction Bulger book by Boston Globe reporters Dick Lehr and Gerald O’Neill. Shooting on that film, financed by Cross Creek and Exclusive Media, is set to begin in summer.
Depp, repped by UTA and Bloom Hergott, next hits theaters in The Lone Ranger, set for release July 3 by Disney.
Newly Released 'Hobbit' Documents Reveal Details of Nasty Union Dispute
The New Zealand government has released 41 pages of previously confidential documents relating to a 2010 attempt to unionize actors Peter Jackson's The Hobbit. The documents offer an unusual glimpse behind the scenes of a nasty public dispute that ended in a stinging defeat for the local actors union -- and in a stunning outcome for the country’s government, which ended up paying Warner Bros. an additional $25 million in tax incentives and other fees to quell the threat that the production might be moved to another country.
The government also pushed through legislation that effectively makes it impossible to unionize motion picture production in the country.
The document disclosure came in response to a Jan. 31 ruling by New Zealand’s ombudsman, a government official, who ordered the release over the objections of Warner Bros.’ New Line unit, director-producer Jackson and two government ministers.
Many of the documents are emails between Jackson and Minister of Economic Development Gerry Brownlee.
In one message, to the country’s attorney general, Jackson and his wife and producing partner, Fran Walsh, describe themselves as “not anti-union” and add that they are “very proud and loyal members of three Hollywood Unions -- the Directors Guild, the Producers Guild and the Writers Guild. We have always supported the Screen Actors Guild.” (The Producers Guild is not actually a union.)
But a couple weeks later, in an Oct. 15, 2010, email to Brownlee, Jackson denounces union organizer Simon Whipp: “He has played you like a fool. Unfortunately, you engaged with a snake, who now feels quite fearless. He is in revenge mode, intent on inflicting as much damage as he can, to our film, to our film industry, to our country.”
Jackson also referred to the unionization effort as “toxic nonsense.”
Complicating the dispute from the start was the fact that the local actors union, NZ Actors Equity, is a subsidiary of an Australian union, the Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance.
Jackson said, “In the end, this is not about Actors Equity, not is it about The Hobbit. It is about an Australian trade union making a blatant play to take a controlling hand in the NZ film industry -- for their own political and financial gain.”
Left unremarked by Jackson was the fact that Warner Bros. isn’t based in New Zealand, either.
In a statement this week, Jackson said he hoped the document release would “put to rest the unfounded conspiracy theories that sought to characterize these events as a Hollywood studio dictating terms to a sovereign government -- a charge that is as spurious now as it was then.”
That comment isn’t consistent with what played out in 2010, when Prime Minister John Key said that Warners was asking for legislative change and additional money as a condition of keeping the Hobbit shoot in New Zealand.
“I think it’s fair to say on the financial side there’s a fair bit of hardball being played on both sides,” Key said at the time. He added, “We have the capacity to move a little bit, but we don’t have the capacity to write out checks that we can’t afford to cash.
“In the end,” he said then, “money talks in Hollywood. That’s just the way it works.”
In addition, Brownlee said at the time that he would meet with Warners representatives when they arrived in New Zealand in order to “see what their requirements might be.”
Nor was Warner Bros. the only studio pressuring the country’s government. Another released document from 2010 -- a government memo not Hobbit-related -- indicates that Disney “advised Film New Zealand” that if Actors Equity did not change its procedures for responding to requests for visas for foreign actors, “Disney is unlikely to continue with plans to bring future productions to New Zealand.”
The Hobbit unionization effort burst into public view in September 2010. After quieter attempts to resolve matters had gotten nowhere, NZ Actors Equity enlisted the assistance of an international federation of actors unions, whose member unions -- including SAG, AFTRA and U.S. Actors Equity -- slapped a “do not work” alert on the project.
Jackson charged then that the union action risked driving the project out of the country, a stance he reiterated shortly before the film’s world premiere about three months ago in Wellington.
NZAE vp Phil Darkins disagreed. “When virtually every performers union on the planet says, ‘We won’t sign on,’ where on Earth are you going to take your production?” he said at a conference in November.
Nonetheless, the affair ended with Warner Bros. extracting an additional $25 million in incentives and advertising funds from the island nation and securing emergency passage of anti-union legislation, apparently negotiated directly between the government and key Warners executives including New Line president Toby Emmerich and Warner Home Entertainment president Kevin Tsujihara, who becomes Warner Bros. CEO effective March 1.
The document requests were filed by NZ Council of Trade Unions president Helen Kelly and Brent Edwards of Radio New Zealand.
Steven Spielberg to Head Cannes Film Festival Jury
Festival organizers said late Wednesday night that the Oscar-winning director will serve as jury president at the event's 66th edition, which runs May 15-26.
"My admiration for the steadfast mission of the festival to champion the international language of movies is second to none,"
Spielberg said in a statement. "The most prestigious of its kind, the festival has always established the motion picture as a cross cultural and generational medium."
Spielberg, who takes the reins from Italian writer-director-producer Nanni Moretti, most recently directed Lincoln, which festival organizers noted is a box office hit in France, where it has been seen by more than 1 million people.
Spielberg is no stranger to the Cannes festival. His first film, Sugarland Express, won best screenplay there in 1974, and his classic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial had its world premiere at the fest in 1982as the closing-night film. The Color Purple was shown as a noncompetition film in 1986.
Festival president Gilles Jacob noted in a statement that Spielberg is a "Cannes regular" and that he's asked the director to head up the jury several times.
"But he's always been shooting a film," Jacob said."So when this year I was told 'E.T., phone home,' I understood and immediately replied, 'At last!'"
Thierry Fremaux, general delegate of the festival, said Spielberg actually accepted the responsibility two years ago "in principle."
"He was able to make himself available this year to be the new jury president and when meeting him these last few weeks it has been obvious he's excited about the job," Fremaux added. "Because of his films, and the many causes he holds dear, he's year-in year-out the equal of the very greatest Hollywood filmmakers."
Spielberg added that his memories of attending Cannes for the first time with E.T. 31 years ago "is still one of the most vibrant memories of my career."
Spielberg was nominated for his direction of Lincoln at Sunday's Oscars ceremony; the movie also was up for awards in 11 other categories, including best picture, and earned two awards, including best actorfor Daniel Day-Lewis and best production design.
Spielberg previously won Oscars for directing 1994's Schindler's List and 1998's Saving Private Ryan and was the 1987 recipient of the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award.
